Enchanted Night
An angel with beautiful wings so white
Wonders into the forest on this enchanted night
This angel though, seems to have lost her way
She can no longer find the light of day
She lies her head on the forest ground
Where the beating of her heart is the only sound
A single tear rolls from her face
Falling to the ground of this unfamiliar place
Something stirs and startles her so
She lifts her weary head as there's no place to go
She sees the outline of what she thinks a man
He says "do not be frightened" and holds out his hand
An angel with beautiful wings so white
Wonders into the forest on this enchanted night
This angel though, seems to have lost her way
She can no longer find the light of day
She sees his wings, he is an angel like she
She's confused and wonders how this can be
Wings like she's never seen…stunning, black, and dark
Yet she sees the love that radiates from his heart
His love for this angel caught even him by surprise
He thought a love so true could never be, but didn't realize…
Her love for this angel caught even her by surprise
She was taught dark angels cannot love and only tell lies…
Two angels hearts speak to each other on this enchanted night
Two angels from different worlds, one dark, one light…
Part 2
She takes his hand without a second thought
Going against everything she's been taught
He takes her hand without a second thought
Her love is the one that he's long sought
Now the beating of their hearts is the only sound
As two become one, for each soul they've found
In the arms of each, vows of love are exchanged
But then quite suddenly something had changed
Her dark angel turned away with despair
Told her no longer could she remain there
Unable to look his angel in the eyes
For fear she might actually see him cry
He tells her to leave this place never to return
He speaks in a voice unmistakably stern
Her fears and pain stir deep from within
Inconceivable heartache begins to set in
He tells her the light is where she must stay
Then quickly he turns and flies away
Broken…silent tears then stream from her face
Her heart slowly dies as she lies in this place
His love for this angel caught even him by surprise
He told her she must leave…but didn't realize
Her love for this angel caught even her by surprise
As she returns each night to this very place and cries
Two angels hearts speak to each other one enchanted night
Two angels from different worlds, one dark, one light…
Enchanted Night
