Marching beneath the scorching sun
Arms on the yoke it isn’t fun
Nagging and harassing the cow
Until it strides to pull the plough
Early morn as the sun goes up
Laboured through 'til you’d almost drop
Recalling the toils as we sow
Each corn grain I wished would grow
Mumbling pain from my blistered feet
Every step vital for the harvest
Dragging on with tired-slacken steps
I begged please hum some lively bits
Off tune music echoed everywhere
Singing to drive away despair
Sometimes we see things differently
A fall out because of envy
So with mischief comes misery
Unrest for heartless treachery
Meaningless would be our struggle
A harvest that fades and dwindles
No increase when hate reins the soul.
