Exhortation for Obedience
Remember what you have been taught,
Instead of the things you have sought;
By keeping my talk in your mind,
And where you can easily find.
Because they will give you long life,
And be helping you through the strife;
With less anxiety and fears,
That will give you peace and good years.
Do not ever try to reject,
Mercy and truth or just neglect;
Engrave them into mind and heart,
Letting you to always impart.
You will have favor and success,
In the sight of God who will bless;
With an abundance of rewards,
In the Book of Life He records.
God is making your life run smooth,
Comforting you as He will soothe;
Detouring from the bumpy path,
As you will be spared from the wrath.
Never think of yourself as wise,
For it is evil in disguise;
God nourishes body and mind,
Leading your faith that will be blind.
