What is it about a waterfall
that fills each of us with such awe
Is it the magnificent height of such water falling
from what appears to be magically from the sky
Or the intensity it creates below
as the stillness awakens to crashing life
Is it the visual concept of what's being viewed
that seems or appears to be an ending
When in actuality the fall impressively
designs a means to yet another beginning
Is it simply the unique rarity of it's kind
or natures artistry of this stunning water find
Maybe it's all of these things we see
that reveal the truth of our mediocrity
But let me tell you what I believe…
Have you ever just stood before a waterfall
so close you could feel the mist all around
You wish to remain till it envelops you
this dreamlike glory in which you've found
You're taken aback and yet
so drawn, you thirst for more
You can't believe such a marvel exists
eyes closed, arms extended, let it seep within your pores
I believe there are such miraculous people
who exist amongst us just the same
Once we stand within their ambiance
we come to know them by their rightful name
…Mistical Saints
They are the ones we are drawn too
and wish to bath amid their mist
We stand in awe and wonder, even
questioning if they could really exist
But once you've let the mist
of a saint soak within your pores
No matter what choices you've made in your life
it courses throughout your blood…forevermore
