Waters of Gurgle End

He looked at the water and sighed closed his eyes  but still heard it roar
Kept tumbling and gurgling like the magna from an active volcano
As the waves rose and slammed again the rocks
This action sent volts of fear through him like electrical shocks.

He felt shiver ran up his spine, then he remembered his wager
He made a bet that he would endure today the violence of the water
Now as reality faces him, fear also gripped him causing him to tremble
He lifted his eyes to heaven an whispered I need a miracle

He looked up and saw  in the crowd some faces were solemn
Only one man had defied those waters of Gurgle End
That was many years ago, even he encountered problem and it was a different situation
He knew the area quite well, but now thing have changed due to years of erosion.

Realizing that his only chance was to take this leap in the light
But  he has to do it in such away that his timing is right
He looked and measure the sequence of the  rumbling
So therefore the time of the jump must have  a precise timing.

So taking another look he noticed that some of the guys began to jeer
And in another his girlfriend so sad , whilst some of the women offer a sneer
But his heat fell on noticing the guy who held up the paper
On which  was detailed the terms and conditions of the now stupid wager.

Focusing once again on the water and  taking a look at the gurgling sequence
This give him a little life and some measure of confidence
And  there was an instant where the water parted in a little section
There he must aim for that, there should be the  focus of his attention

At last he took the leap and landed  close to the intended position
This error present to him a very grave and dangerous situation
He was tossed, tumbled slammed about rolled around and around
Somewhat like a pea in a violently boiling cauldron.

He was slammed to the bottom and back to the top again
Was tossed high and  back in the water hitting the sand and felt great pain
Was battered, bruised  felt dazed but held on despite all knocks
Then came the realization that the sand had saved him from being impaled on a pointed rock

He bravely fought  with all his reserved strength
But  those forces of the water would not relent
As if by some luck he espied a cave
Saying if I could only reach it I would be saved

Earlier he saw water from a hole but he did no know the source
This cave have to be the channel for the course
So he rode a wave and he went directly to the mouth
And with one great force was blown out

He landed on his hand to break the fall
But still sustain some injuries but up he got and amble along almost to a crawl.
With a few cracked ribs, a fracture hand,  aching in all his muscle
Bruised from which some blood kept oozing , but he know the story will never end
This will be a day and will be one in the village history the day when John defy the waters of Gurgle End.
