World is funny
it's a whole lotta mean
but we're alright
we've beat it all before

I can go on my friend
paint you a song
lay memories at your feet
drink with you all night long

we ain't here to settle
sometimes we ain't here at all

now if you got tears
let me hug them funny
you know we can always
plant some dreams

if we gotta get lost
let's do it laughing
play some blues
drink some beer
