People just don`t want to listen it appears
`Cause when we speak it falls on deaf ears,
They nod and smile and agree with what you say
But do nothing about it at the end of the day.
They think what you say has no value at all
But one day our words they shall recall,
They`ll wish they had listened to our advice
Next time they`ll stop and they`ll think twice.
They think they are clever and know it all
But not listening to us will be their downfall,
Clever they maybe but streetwise they`re not
We have life experience that`s what we`ve got.
They`re not listening they don`t want to know
And their feigned interest really does show,
They act so blasé to whatever we say
But as they say `every dog has it`s day.`
