To my son Stan who turned 42 on 3/4/2010 but because of a bereavement and illness in the family i did not manage to write his poem until now. love you always son xxx
Belated birthday wishes son
Something I have never done
But sadly we both know the why
Even if it made us cry.
Still my boy is forty-two
And his day`s still special too
I hope you have a year that`s great
Even if this poem`s too late
Yes I know you are a man
But you`ll always be my Stan
Baby, toddler, awkward teen
I can see you in my dream
You`ll always be my little lad
And guess what, I am so glad
Forty two years may have past
But I have memories that last.
