May God be with them all.))
A Soldier's Prayer
By: Adam M. Snow
O' Lord my God I pray,
on a distant land far away.
On a land, not my home,
I'm on my knees, all alone.
I'm fighting for freedom and peace,
I ask O' Thee, 'Let this bloodshed cease.
I am fighting a war,
on a distant foreign shore;
fighting for my family and friends.
I pray this torment should soon to end.
I've bowed my head to many flag-draped caskets,
to a soldier, not a rank past private.
I pray salvation for all soldiers dead and gone.
I continue to fight through the red of dawn.
I fight for what I believe is true,
but I'm a lonely soldier living for you.
Forgive us O' Lord for we have sinned,
I end this prayer to Thee, Amen.
