once upon a time

524,319 poems read

Footsteps murmuring in tranquil chapels
form echoes of childhood memories.
In my mind those forgotten moments are
remembered in the sudden rush of incense
Letting thoughts of old friends resonate in joyful glory

Those youthful echoes of games played in innocent moments
Sweep me down along weary corridors
Lined and aged in my mind though sitting happily
Reflecting, enjoying moments of the past.

Realising its never forgotten, only momentarily set aside
To be resurrected as I listen to footsteps echoing
Among the transept in the tranquillity of chapel
