 once upon a time

INDIFFERENT

Turn it on, hear the news.
See what death toll we have today.
Watch the buildings raze to an indifferent ground.
Watch the bodies as they tumble down.
Ignore beseeching eyes set in small
Fearful faces.
Just turn it on watch the death toll mount:-
After all it’s over there, not here.
Lets simply ignore those pleading screaming eyes
Ignore hunger, hurt, and pain
A cup of tea you say, o aye that’ll do
Lets watch the news, turn it on.
