Your every word flutters down,
Butterflies to the ground
Loosens me... in a spiral
Of warring rainbow strings
My whirlpool... is your smile
Strewing petals upon my sullen earth,
Turning me inside out, cultivating
Till I wake in blissful rebirth
You lure me to take a dip
Into an open sea of
Long forgotten paragraphs
Spins me around a concert ticket,
Bus ride, and black and white photographs
I blossom under your eyes
As the silence between us
Reverberates...
Electrifies...
You are... pure gentleness
You are... coaxing winter
You are... my eloquent silence
You are... my metaphysical drug...
But you are a force of nature
Too beautiful for me to keep
Perplexed, I ask myself
Evening fool, why don't you weep?
But my understanding is far too deep...
And while departures tear people apart,
Your every leaving... turns into a page
I keep close to my heart
And this longing keeps on going, unquenched
In a blank space saved for another day
You are a simplicity I crave
In my world of complexity
The mere experience of you,
Has brought me so much... poetry
