The new morning's sky

How soon the sky began to cry
the sunlight that bathed me, no more
only darkened clouds
under starless shrouds
leaving nothing of love to live for.
So many broken dreams of all that's been
the darkness that followed, my own
every shinning light
turned black as night
learning so much I'd sooner not know.
Now years are old long nights are cold
tired memories are waving… goodbye
but with the morning dew
I'll once more wake anew
looking forward to the new morning sky.
