dreams swallow my soul
they trap my flesh
inside a timeless space
where pain is eternal
and misery is normal;
caught amongst the wicked
mixed in with the sickest;
dreams take away my breath
with every drop of sweat
beneath drenched sheets
from the flames of unending heat,
unable to quench thirst;
what happened to deserve this pain,
was it reactions that caused those
slugs to pop?
were mistakes what sealed his fate?
all because selfish was the choice,
when loving and giving was mothers only wish;
drowning in fire, choking from smoke,
scared to death for life's regrets;
dreams keep eyes sleep
buried deep in jungle sheets,
no weeping or fear,
heaven can't hear drops of tears;
