no one knew the changes we would go through,
but amidst the constant changes we've grown and matured,

no one knew our love was built weather resistant;
stayed cool during extreme heat,
outlasted the rain cause our love is persistent,
always willing to reach a higher existence,
no matter what state it never made a difference;
Who would have imagined our love would have endured
through the perils of our adolescence;
wonder if your mother was surprised or did she
know from the sparkles in your eyes;
always knew you were the one for me,
but when we parted, didn't know if you would wait for me,
but now it's 2003 and wouldn't you know...
we are back together and I'm never letting go!
