Poetry For Everyday People

Don't Crucify Me For My Race

I kissed lost
and my tongue felt numb
breathed so much pain
it hurt my lungs

somewhere somehow seems
always a better place
there ain't no reason
to fight over faith

ain't no peace in hate
don't let the fakers dictate
ain't no peace in hate
don't let the fakers dictate
faith ain't an ugly place
don't crucify me for my race

got bad apples
and evil under the sun
TV and a radio show
don't make you an expert son

your agenda's in your bank
getting bigger everyday
say you care about this country
hate seems an awful strange way

ain't no peace in hate
don't let the fakers dictate
ain't no peace in hate
don't let the fakers dictate
faith ain't an ugly place
don't crucify me for my race

don't twist the bible
for your own personnel greed
don't generalize Muslims
just to feed your ugly needs

control the boarders
don't arrest me for my face
passing the racist dream law
will never stay in place

ain't no peace in hate
don't let the fakers dictate
ain't no peace in hate
don't let the fakers dictate
faith ain't an ugly place
don't crucify me for my race
