REFLECTIONS OF A WOMAN
REFLECTIONS OF A WOMAN
Quietly joyful wee Liz enthralled everyone she met
Her eyes dancing in merriment reflected the beauty
Of her mind where the trueness of humanity lies
Whether just watching T.V or drinking tea wee Liz was
Always at peace- even with me
She loved to talk; dance though enjoyed the bingo more
Was a quiet woman never a complaint smoked too much
Didn't drink, and me being me I could not complain
Learned to drive at aged 48 of course a natural
Being a quiet woman
Competent at all she did but another one of those ladies
From a generation of working class that never got a chance
To express her wonderful abilities fully.
All of her life she helped any one who asked, and those
To shy or proud to ask for help she was there to give advice
Now gone into the silent land at age 53 she left her wonderful
Presence behind that singular quietly vibrant beautiful woman
WEE LIZ
WEE LIZ
