lost in a familar place
Lost in a familiar place
Looking around, watching
Normality
Thinking I should know this place
Knowing I recognize nothing.
Seeing familiar sights realising
They aren't real, well not to me
Lost as I am in a familiar place
I watch people fade in, fade out
Of my life
I never take the time to say hello
Always moving on never stopping
Long enough to acknowledge anyone
Even the half seen wraiths drifting with me
Are old friends, older lovers all
Along for the ride ending up
God knows where lost in a familiar place
Looking around, watching
Normality
Thinking I should know this place
Knowing I recognize nothing.
Seeing familiar sights realising
They aren't real, well not to me
Lost as I am in a familiar place
I watch people fade in, fade out
Of my life
I never take the time to say hello
Always moving on never stopping
Long enough to acknowledge anyone
Even the half seen wraiths drifting with me
Are old friends, older lovers all
Along for the ride ending up
God knows where lost in a familiar place
