Let me write one more for you
My need to say what hearts try to
A fleeing moment right after this
A heartfelt thought sealed with a kiss
Thanks my love for giving me
Brief happiness so tenderly
Where words spoken all yours not mine
Would grant me peace for a short time
I still look to my cellphone
It's screen now dark, lifeless alone
Where once message you left to say
You came to visit, now gone away
Wishful thinking is what we do
Of brief encounters of me and you
Of love that cannot be today
As yesterday became what in me plays
A movie old of hand we hold
With breath of mine it came and stole
For in ones heart we need to breathe
What felt so good by your words weaved
Hands that never touched my soul
Are felt verbal and in us mold
A better man because of you
Where love makes up for wrongs it soothes
My writes will fall quite rather short
Compared to one that Heaven brought
To hold again what use to know
A better day you too would sow
I wrap myself in song today
In tune applied with words you'd say
If you believe you too one day
Can have again what went astray
So if by chance we write no more
and if by chance ones keeping score
Know this today and evermore
My heart has asked we close its door
