Nobody Wants To be Lonely
Looking back when life was good
When LOVE was real and really stood
For something more than bedside manners
On sentiment and not just banter
It use to be you'd feel lightheaded
As your heart raced given much credit
Respect was yours not by command
But by the one by you they'd stand
Romanced with flowers and candle light
Where kiss goodbye would mean goodnight
Until the next time you would meet
Where comfortable replaced discreet
It stood for more than one night stands
Her you loved or him your man
Where arm in arm you'd strut real proud
Sticking out amongst the crowd
Respect would come quite naturally
No second guessing for all would see
Quite genuine your feelings there
No hiding feelings freely you'd bare
But sometimes it may not work out
When love needs to be talked about
Before it dies, before too late
Before what was becomes heartbreak
Nobody wants to be lonely
Nobody needs this pain
Somebody wants you to love them
As they too once knew love then
