Another day facing the rain
fills the conclaves of the soul
with heavy pain, past, present, and
the unforeseen future trying to
maintain through all the strain of
keeping the wrath sustained inside
polluted veins from all the acid rain
that has changed the mind frame of a brother
that was once always sober, but now
the evils have warped, discombobulated, and
mangled him forever; too many days
the tears ran from closed eyes to many
times the sun lost it's shine inside
the depths of his mind; confined inside
the darkness and gloom consumed;
awoken by shots that rang out, but
from darkness emerges the light, entered
the lions den in hopes of coming out repented;
through the roars and screams; he awoke
with dried tears and it was all a dream...
