The Work of Christ
The Spirit of the Lord,
Always remains with me;
Being in one accord,
For the insight to see.
Anointed me to give,
The word of the Good News;
For peace and love to live,
With salvation to choose.
He has sent me to heal,
All the captives of sin;
So they can get the zeal,
And then be cleansed within.
The good will of the Lord,
And the day God spreads wrath;
Should never be ignored,
As it comes near your path.
So I comfort who grieve,
Telling them not to fret;
They just need to believe,
Having no more regret.
A shepherd of a flock,
Watching over the sheep;
Standing on solid rock,
Vigilant as they sleep.
