Poetic Verses
To My Dad
Let me say thanks and sing a song of praise to a very special gentleman
Who is a positive influence on my life and on me used a very gentle steering hand
By observing him, listening to and talking with has made me into a man
Who has the ability to think, be logical and to encourage my fellow man
Early in my life we always had a very good and warm relation
I made every effort to be around him on every occasion
Talking with and discussion anything from music, history and politics
Then often we would go for walks and have some good moments on fishing trips
In games he was a very fierce and yes teaching competitor
He neither asked for nor give any sort of quarter
But will say this is not only a game but a lesson in life my son
Even though this is a game all must be earned, and always keep you focus and vision
It was so amazing how often I would watch him at calculation
All those numbers which have decimal configuration
After a time when I get to understand them , would often
Work on the same numbers and together we would solve them
There were many time in life he was in a back to the wall struggle
Even then he with his mind set his determination was not frazzle
In those moments I silently applauded his will and strength
Those were the times that showed what being a man meant
But as always in life nothing last no matter what forever
Changes did occur regularly and often for the better
This made me and all my siblings happy for his success
Because we all know he had endured and perhaps passed every test
So I take no reservation in say thanks to you my dad
You are the best teacher and father any one could have had
Let me say your ever forthright and proactive thoughts
Always prepare me mentally for any changes so I was never distraught
And as I wish you all the best on this father's day
Well you know there are always much more that I can say
But as you always said, you did you duty and take care of your responsibility
Let me say you performed with distinction and held on to the plough manfully.
I would use your archetype when I come to perform my fatherly duty.
