Of Silly Things
Love at times is hard to grasp
Feelings gone wild when hands are clasped
Causing at times for one to gasp
For air, breathless, of all things last
You break a sweat upon meeting
For the first time with heart yours beating
Flutters now reign as butterflies
Inside of you cause you to sigh
That light feeling inside your head
That also swept your feet that tread
Air once ground you walk now on
As does your heart in sync that pounds
Girls once thought as great taboo
By club of boys, club they outgrew
Becomes the worm that turns the tide
More caterpillar turned butterfly
Girls who thought no way no how
They kissed someone freckled now wows
As love becomes the new found game
Inside of kid silly now changed
Act all will like you are cool
Nah, I'm in control yet more a fool
In love you are with them you thought
Would never catch your eye now caught
Of silly things upon ones mind
Is love bouncing like ball as time
Has come for you now one big kid
Silly once thought, aglow loved lit
