Untitled People--By Krysta Ray
I'm alone but not how you think.
I am the homeless man on the street.
I am the lonely man drowning in his glass of beer.
I am the woman behind the camera used and abused, searching for reason.
I am the woman finding relief only in my cigarette.
I am the boy in your class who "knows it all."
I am the tall boy who is the freak of the team.
I am the girl sitting quietly in class with her book.
I am the Goth girl you never notice sitting next to you.
I'm alone but not how you think.
I am cared about but only when it benefits them.
I am married but not honest.
I am pleasure but only for someone else.
I am angry with myself and people like me.
I am noticed but hated, yet at least I am noticed.
I am surrounded by people but they don't care.
I am wrapped in myself only because I have no one else.
I am like this because no noticed me anyway.
I'm alone but not how you think.
I want some to notice,
To care,
To like me just how I am.
Is that too much to ask?
I am every person--I am who I am.
