Going ever direction I can see;
Spreading and waving and coming back in
They travel and fly and
Go anywhere they please.
Why can't I have the
Freedom of a bird?
To be that free
To be that careless
To be that graceful
To be that beautiful
To be that fearless
To be that strong.
It would be
Amazing! Having the
Whole world in front of you.
I only wish to have that
Feeling and my imagination can
Only take me so far.
I am not free--held down by the chains of society.
I am not careless--constantly being told to worry.
I am not graceful--tripping and stumbling everyday.
I am not beautiful--full of flaws and ugly.
I am not fearless--struggling with fears everyday.
I am not strong--only my maker is.
If I could go such as the birds do;
Than maybe I could be these things.
Maybe, but probably,
No matter what;
I will keep on being
Human.
