Poetic Verses
The Answers to my Prayers
When I don't get an answer
to all my pleading prayers,
I look up at the skies above
and I know that God still cares.
I wander down a lonely road
and the rain falls down on me,
the best lessons I learn in life
are the ones that aren't easy.
God's peace fills my worried soul
and His light shines ever more,
during the hard times that I face
He leads me through an open door.
My prayers aren't always answered
but God knows I do my best,
He watches my every action
and free agency is my test.
God will never turn away from me
when I need Him to be there,
it's up to me to do my part
and through good deeds I prepare.
I love all that God does for me
when I need His listening ears,
He sent His son Jesus to the earth
that He may wipe away my tears.
He whispers softly to my soul
and the feelings are most true,
when the time is right for me
the answers will come through.
