Poetic Verses

Reality is a Stranger

There are strangers out there
that seem pretty nice,
but you must look again
and think it over twice.

For if you really expect
a person to be true,
then pay close attention
to what they will do.

Once you become friends
and your trust has grown,
the lies of a stranger
are not easily shown.

You cannot tell by looks
or assume how they are,
even if you chat a lot
with one that lives far.

Open your eyes wide
to what you have caught,
now stuck with a stranger
that acts what they're not.

True behaviors are hidden
and not always in sight,
when kindness is in the air
and the future looks bright.

So, let this be a warning
a beginning to an end,
a relationship can't be true
when you don't know your friend.
