Poetic Verses
The Same Jesus
My Jesus is the same as yours,
as Christians we do unite,
once thought strange in belief
we usually choose the right.
Some Prophets of the past
endured persecution and hate,
we are not always understood
and this causes a debate.
The worth of souls is great
this we believe most true,
even if you are not interested
in what the Holy Ghost can do.
We try to be a Christ-like people
by loving all those around,
everybody makes mistakes
so repentance has been found.
We believe in eternal marriage
and in the temple we are endowed,
if we are living as we should
being humble instead of proud.
We do baptisms for the dead
and temple work for the same,
we are members of Christ's church
and we are baptized in His name.
Don't be quick to judge my religion
before getting the facts straight,
there are rumors out there
that cause some people to hate.
We are Christian in our belief
and we welcome everyone,
we are no different than any other
that believes Jesus is God's Son.
