Poetic Verses
Bewildered by the Moment
When I was in middle school
the bus would stop for me,
it would come every morning
across the road where I could see.
It occurred one early morning
when I was ready to catch my ride,
I ran out in front of a speeding car
and was somehow placed aside.
The moment that it happened
I was feeling quite confused,
I don't know how I made it
and I was only slightly bruised.
The bus driver saw it happen
and asked if I was okay,
I nodded through my shivers
and went to school that day.
My whole body was trembling
from when the shock had hit,
it took a while to feel better
and at school I calmed from it.
I still wonder to this day
what saved me from the harm,
the car was going really fast
and it barely touched my arm.
I don't know if it was Angels
but in my heart I think it true,
the car was coming at me fast
and somehow I made it through.
