Your Shadow Still Haunts Me
I cry out into the darkness,
"Please leave me alone,"
I can feel your dark presence
and it chills me to the bone.
You follow right behind me
but when I look you hide,
you are not a blessing
nor are you on my side.
You are my worst enemy
and a creature of the night,
I keep looking behind me
at the shadows in my sight.
I see the image on the wall
that makes me want to run,
my shadow is there also
and the fight has just begun.
It's not a precious moment
to live with so much fear,
your shadow still haunts me
and I don't want you here.
