Where We All Reside
Thank you Dad for everything
that you do to help us through,
when times are getting rough
we can always depend on you.
You have that kind and caring side
and your love for us is known,
even though the years have passed
on the inside we haven't grown.
We are all still young children
and the baby that you knew,
question it if you must
"Have we really left home too?"
With every childish phone call
to make sure that you're still there,
security is the most important
even if it's money that you share.
"Are we really living on our own?"
you might think that it is so,
inside we are all crying out
for the home that we all know.
Keep the guest room ready
and do not lock your doors,
we are all still living there
despite bad credit scores.
Since we haven't all grown up
inside where we still hide,
it may seem like we left home
but at your house we still reside.
