Silent Feelings
You will never know
how I truly feel,
I'm quiet on the inside
on the outside I'm real.
The look on my face
all full of expression,
yet I keep to myself
alone with depression.
Dry tears are falling
while I cry inside,
my sense of emotion
I'm able to hide.
I wear a fake smile
and if that's not enough,
I hide from reality
when life seems too tough.
It may seem like a game
I'm playing with you,
only I know in my heart
what's real and true.
Don't go assuming
how you think I feel,
my emotions are muted
and that is for real.
