Poetic Verses

Judged by Appearance

With brown hair and blue eyes
and a smile not often shown,
there's happiness on the inside
on the outside it's not known.

You judge my outside appearance
never knowing what's really there,
like a child hiding behind a wall
it's hard to open up and share.

You assume and guess all the time
without allowing me to be heard,
you watch me in my silence
especially when I don't say a word.

I am innocent in my ways
there's much that you don't know,
inside there's a shy and sweet being
that sometimes doesn't show.

The beauty inside may not be clear
if you see what you want to see,
you don't give a fair chance
to get to know the real me.
