Perfect Pill
Take a break from medication,
have fun without the stuff,
in your perfect situation
you've probably had enough.
The side effects that wallow
with every dose you take,
why should you have to face
a sudden sensation or outbreak?
You may have a dizzy spell
as a distraction in your life,
what about the ignorance
when one is facing strife.
Medication has its woes,
between choices you are torn,
or at a funeral where you sit
and cannot cry and mourn.
All alone you feel some good
and I hope it is allowed,
as a result of that shiny pill
it's like floating on a cloud.
At times you feel happy
and the pill has done you good,
nevermind the break from it
let's take it as we should.
