Shadow Play
After dark we have a blast
with a flashlight in one hand,
we play with the shadows
from a far away land.
In the world of shadows
we make ourselves known,
by creating shadow art
on the wall it is shown.
We put our hand in front
of the light on the wall,
created by a flashlight
creatures standing tall.
I can make a shadow duck,
with my fingers it will stand,
there are other animals
that come to life by hand.
It is fun shadow play
at night before we sleep,
when we close our eyes
our shadows we can't keep.
