Confidence in Prayer
To You O Lord I lift my soul,
You remain O Lord in control;
Onto the cross that I will cling,
For I trust You as God and king.
Do not let me be put to shame,
As I continue to proclaim;
For the unfaithful on my path,
Should be the ones to feel Your wrath,
Make Your ways be known onto me,
Sharing insight so I may see;
The beauty that is in Your eyes,
Giving wisdom to make me wise.
Please lead me in Your truth and teach,
For the words You want me to preach;
Look down on me with Your favor,
For You are my God and Savior.
As I await both day and night,
I read Your words with such delight;
Having the confidence I share,
Everything with You in prayer.
For all of Your merciful deeds,
Are filled with compassionate seeds;
Rooting deep at the place within,
Killing rebellion and the sin.
