Fun Despite the Pain
As a child with Tourette Syndrome,
I was miserable in every way,
despite the tics I had some joy
at a young age as I would play.
I had a favorite tricycle
that was a pure delight,
even though I had nervous tics
everything seemed alright.
I would ride my tricycle
and chase the dog around,
I had so much fun playing
true comfort I had found.
I was able to forget the pain
of shaking my poor head,
when I concentrated on my fun
there was happiness instead.
