Lost Love's Rainstorm
Roses of red, pink and white
glisten in a summer's rain,
silence heals a broken heart,
fallen down from lost love's pain.
The wind blows like never before,
teardrops fall down my cheeks,
drops of rain on a rose petal,
show a love that never speaks.
The rain plays a calm tune
as it rolls off rooftops to the ground,
It drips on roses in love's garden,
a heartfelt rain falls all around.
Soft spoken and shy inside
lost and lonely in the storm,
a wandering soul as the world turns,
a love that once took form.
A hollow feeling in my mind,
unknown stories could be told,
an open door to another's heart
some people can be awfully cold.
I walk through the darkness of my life,
alone, a gentle breeze calms my fears,
a love that chills me to the bone,
a broken heart and fallen tears.
