Where are the Singers

I would  enjoy those moments of   my parents  rendition
When they  will sang along with the drifters in many a song
And the sweet voice of Ben  E King filled the air
Follow by those  tunes by the Platters those brought some good cheer

And at the home of my grandparents  as then danced  as a total whole
To that sweet, smooth  and  romantic voice of Nat King Cole
As he touched they and all their friends with his  version of Mona Lisa
Oh even as a little boy I was so thrilled I got captivated by the aura

Then as I walked around the village those jukeboxes all around
Used to belt out that pleasant and  sometime baritone voice of Brook Benton
The song which touched all those hearts around  was Hotel Loneliness
We all thought he used great variation and was among the best.

Sam Cooke and Joe Tex who have like two above have all gone
But they music  and such  sweet voice   are still living one
No matter what they sang , their voices had the propensity
To captivate you and  hold your attention quite  readily,

Moving on a little further there was the dynamic Michael Jackson
He has now been truly classified as one of music's greatest legend
But as they say when one has acquire that classification of a genius
They usually do not spent a long time living amongst  us.

Let me take some time to mention ladies like Millie Jackson
Oh1 She has one of the sweetest voice conferred on any human
Her singing sometimes made goose pimples grow in the palms of my hands
Especially with her improved version of  the song named ‘Sweet  Music Man.

Some many other ladies I will just mention a few such as Diana Ross and  Dionne Warwick
Such classy ladies and with voice that  could work music's magic
Also the lady from the fifth dimension Marilyn  McCoo
Could really touch the soul with her rendition of Wedding Blues.

There are many more and those numbers will be so long
But those great ladies of song ended with Whitney Houston
What  is so startling those ladies had glamour, classy with good bodies and  figures
But they sang , not  like the ones today ,  little singing but  focus on the convexities and concavities.
