Hole In Her Soul
Why I ask is it that you hide
behind life's door in all you do
Away from all that you love
and who love you
Why is the world so hard
Why does it play so cruel
Why is she so scared
Why does she feel each day a duel
What is this continual trick
life insists on playing with her
Why does each day pass
and the joys of life fail to stir
Why is it behind the door
she hides each day
Her friends will wait
upon her return she does pray
The door is strong and safe
keeping out all of the pain
but it also locks out the love
that will help her regain
She knows not where to turn
She knows not how to start
Is she strong enough
to reopen her heart
My precious Savior
at your feet she falls
Please help her
Please hear her call
To be happy and loved
is her only life's goal
Why does she always feel
that burning hole in her soul
