He said goodbye on a rainy day
not much else could he say
Tears streaming down his eyes
as he said his last good byes

Off to war to serve his country
to preserve God's given bounty
Holding on to faith of love
praying for guidance from above
~ ~ ~<+>~ ~ ~
Not knowing if he'd ever return
for bridges he now must burn
Memories in his heart would save
tears fought in love of the brave
~ ~ ~<+>~ ~ ~
"May God Protect Us As We Set Off To War!"
