How foolishly we take for granted
The gift that is she that gave us life
More so my kind, man who tends to grow cold
and selfish to their own needs
Reflect I do, from her womb I came
where nothing could come and harm me
When it was my time to come into the world
I was able to feel and see she that nourished me
and gave me life
You become part of them forever and with some hope
you'll remember them on their days of need
and like your mother, you set out to find someone
that was a gift birthed through another womb and
love becomes more intense to have and hold
Different but none the less you love and upon
holding them you call your soul mate you feel
bullet proof, untouchable
Today, this day I hold her close though distance
may be a factor, it is just temporary and I will
have what she has, love the kind that I was born for
and I am so thankful for the gift that is woman
