This distance between us
Only distance stands between us
Yet we are only a heartbeat away
As the moon shines over the ocean
In dreams you call me to stay
Echos of all your emotions
Call me across the vast pond
I may be a little foolish
But for certain i am no dumb blond
I could sail my boat on your teardrops
Let the wind rush me rapid to shore
Only distance stands between us
And that only makes us love more
Through a flame of candle i see you
As it burns in your darkest night
Your face is a picture of emotion
And eyes that sadden in sight
I can feel your world and all in it
Like a pain that cuts me in two
And that distance that stands between us
Is a story about me and Alas you.
