Rest
Breathing, I close my eyes;
Relaxation is paramount.
I reach deep into my core,
Touching my soul… I sigh.
Sitting in peace in my floor,
The hectic world swirls.
Releasing my attachment;
Sweeping in is a sweet rest.
Focus returns to sharpness;
Fragments are reassembled.
Unable to logically know why;
Embracing an overwhelming calm.
Allowing the harmful thoughts
To drop away; leaving a stillness.
With purpose I do sit here tonight;
Entering into that gentle rest.
