  THE TEN CANNOTS

We see the political pie divided into collective views
The founding stones of our nation quietly fall around us
as we sit weighing the facts on the evening news
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ruffled localities protesting their own crossroads,
are waxing weary as their lives tick on
inside Rolex meeting rooms and fiscal overloads
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

A Pollyannaish smile and hidden puppet strings
attracting like a magnet; penning ridiculous laws
Inflation, deflation; sunset dates, tax cut things
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Cleverness is not wisdom"... a well defined quote
The hourglass of congressional acolytic egotist
need to read what William J.H. Boetcker once wrote
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Agendas and strategies painting faces of inspiration
colored in shades labeled stimulus green
Policies, rules; absurdities on immigration
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"IN HIS NAME, THE NATIONS WILL PUT THEIR HOPE"
Matthew 12:21

My Freedom of Speech
