June's Rhymes
Hand of Steel
I roll around in my bed at night
My heart is filled with a fright
My dreams are vivid and scare me
I cling to my pillow, they flee
The monsters of my dreams leave
Once, my dreams were very real
A heavy hand as strong as steel
Was upon me with rage and hate
I left, before it was too late
No time for talking, no debate
Even though my past is a blurr
My dreams still often reacurr
My heart pounds and I do feel
That the heavy hand of steel
Is upon me and is very real
My heart is filled with a fright
My dreams are vivid and scare me
I cling to my pillow, they flee
The monsters of my dreams leave
Once, my dreams were very real
A heavy hand as strong as steel
Was upon me with rage and hate
I left, before it was too late
No time for talking, no debate
Even though my past is a blurr
My dreams still often reacurr
My heart pounds and I do feel
That the heavy hand of steel
Is upon me and is very real
