A Brand New Start
To my lovely son Clint who will be 39 on 23/8/10 Have a lovely year son. love you always mum xxx
Big blue eyes full of surprise
Rose to meet my own.
I smiled and said my bonnie lad
I`m so glad you are home.
Your path through life
Was strewn with pain
And yet you did not lose
You gained.
Cancer could not take you down
Lives still within your bone
You won`t let it beat you though
You fight it all alone.
Though painful choices you have made
You know you had to leave
Living on a hairpin bend
Emotion can deceive.
I know you`re brave my laddie
Don`t be a slave to sorrow
Believe that someday you will find
A happier tomorrow.
Do not look back, just close the door
The past is dead and gone
The turns you take now in your life
You know will make you strong.
Up ahead a brand new start
I hope you find your dream
Love is waiting just up there
Beyond the rippling stream
Have a happy day today
And all your lifetime too
Go forward son, you have no choice
To do, what you must do.
