It is a sad southern summer after the oil rig explosion of the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico.
With oil contaminating the Gulf and the shoreline,
dead wildlife is not hard to find.
Boom here and boom there,
boom floating everywhere.
Life will never be the same,
a sad situation and BP is the blame.
A loss of culture and a way of life,
a sad way for wildlife to die.
It's a sad southern summer here.
The people have many fears.
The road to recovery is very long.
Help us God to stand strong.
