En Esta Vida
Often when quite becomes the moment
I go to a place where you and I
is all there is
Solitude though physical becomes a moment
that I hold you closer still and I am
bullet proof once again
Many a writes written to address the
very breath that is me, that is you
Time and distance seem to make a heart grow
fonder, in my case breathless
My mind though in need of you argues with
my heart, once again reminding it, it is all
we have for the moment
Yet in this life dreams can become reality
and like the kid who enters Disney World
I enter mine and that my love is you
Mesmerized by so many things, I bolt through
the turnstile without paying admission but
paying you so much of whats on my mind
and too my heart
Your smile upon seeing me allows me to be
the child now man, to know everything will
be so different now
Nothing like a warm embrace crossing a great divide
where love never was
Pressed upon your shoulder is peace now mine
and the cold wars of love never realized
come to an end
En Esta Vida, in this life, almost the after is
where I found you
May our maker of all things new, keep His hand
upon our hearts, for our souls yearned for this
and so much more
En Esta Vida sera mia, sera tuyo
